I've only known about Blowfly for the past year or so, but his songs were fucking magnificent. I'm glad that his friends (like Nardwuar, Bowker, and Snoop Dogg) set him up with interviews and collaborations in the past few years, allowing a new generation to discover him.

He fucking made that movie.

He lived a good life in the end all be all. Got to do what he loved and made enough to get by. He wasn't the greatest,but he certainly was entertaining and thought provoking. Lots of death to start out the new year, hope it doesn't continue to trend that way.

Another one down. Mott the Hoople Drummer Griffin. Notice in the article a young David Bowie actually wrote lyrics and sang backup on one of their biggest hits.
