Just found out someone I used to work with was stabbed to death. I can't even fathom the situation. RIP Netzai.

Thanks people.

There is no silver lining. However, he kind of lost touch with us all a few years ago now and tonight ive been drinking with another close friend ,who i dont see enough of anymore and is also grieving, making a pact with her to ensure that never happens again. Id say thats as close as you can get to one.

I don't know about "well." I knew him and I worked with him and he seemed like a good kid. He was only 21 and it's all just really sad.

RIP Zenaida Manfugás (1932-2012), an amazing Cuban pianist.

I'm really sorry to hear that. Believe it or not I've actually experienced the exact same thing. :(

I lost a former co-worker in a brutal attack also. Was supposed to go to the club that night, i still have regret in my heart for not going that night.

Shouldn't have posted the newspaper article bad taste my apologies.

Donald "Duck" Dunn - (November 24, 1941 - May 13, 2012) - Bass guitar player, songwriter, producer, session musician. He was a member of The Mar-Keys, Booker T & The MG's, Sam and Dave, and The Blues Brothers. A prolific session musician, he played with an impressive list of artists/bands throughout his career and was the bassist on many hit songs by those artists/bands.
One of my all time favorites, I saw him perform with Booker T & The MG's when they were Neil Young's backup band. What a show!

Funny you should say that. I was thinking the same thing myself after my Dick Clark entry made for three in a row.
It seems like someone in the music biz has died just before I've logged on here lately.
I have decided to compromise and have temporarily changed my avatar.
