I didn't even know they had gotten back together and put out a new album, but Sophtware Slump and Sumday were really important albums to me.

Sumday was one of those first records in my formative years. So I agree those records are pretty essential. Haven't heard those albums in years though, I think I shall put them on.

Both albums have that goofy-yet-beautiful-and-sad songwriting that I think is really hard to pull off successfully. "The Warming Sun" and "Jed's Other Poem" are easily two of the most devastating pop songs of the early 00s.
