Stewart's good. So do you enjoy the likes of Burr and Louis CK? That's who I'd lump Stanhope with.

It does amuse me how some people here seem to believe the death of certain celebrities a cause for mirth, while others are totally off-limits. I'm not a huge Petty fan, but I'll be sorry if he passes, as I would with any musician or star. However I guarantee if I had tried to make a joke about say Ornette Coleman or one of those guys from Can, people here would come down hard on me - most likely those who are cracking jokes they consider funny now. There are sacred cows and god help you if you cross that line, but everyone else it seems is fair game. At least nobody was crass enough to even consider making a joke about Bowie's passing: I guess there are some standards here after all. But the double standard can be at times really annoying.

tealdear: don't mock the dead. You're a ****ing douche if you do.

Advice:

A joke relating to a person who died=/=mocking the dead

Nothing is sacred

Joke about whatever you want dude just make it funny

Expect us to be pieces of ****

Tom Petty isn't actually dead

Save the lectures for when you catch a rowdy youth on your lawn

If Ornette had a widow she'd be a lonely woman.

(It's easier with Tom Petty, what can I say)

If he dies then I'll sneak into his funeral and drip a pre-masturbated tin of my own semen onto his face in his coffin. That'll be funny.
