Oh man! The Don is dead! RIP Tony Soprano.

What a young age to die: I'm only one year younger than him... You'll be missed, James.

Rest in Peace Richard Matheson (1926-2013). You were a brilliant writer and a sci-fi genius.

Me too.

It sounds like he lived a long, good full life though, from what I've read. We should all be so lucky.

Just read online that Bobby "Blue" Bland (1930-2013) died on Sunday too. I saw him perform with B.B. King back in '98. Sadness.

One of his best known, if not THE best known song:

This appearance with B.B. King from 1977...I love it.

Just lost one of the best horror/sci fi writers ever. I'm sad.

Devo drummer Alan Myers dies from cancer

Not that anyone will know her, but Bernie Nolan, one of the Nolan Sisters who fuelled many a teenage boy's fantasies including mine, died of cancer. She will be sadly missed. RIP.

I knew very little about this guy...but he did grow up in Victoria, BC...about an hour from where I grew up. He was also a big Canucks fan. RIP.
