To me she might be a musical icon above all, one of Serge Gainsbourg's great sidekicks

This has to be one of the very great songs

Joe Ely, progressive country, alt country, whatever you want to call it, musician, from Parkinson's, Lewy Body dementia, and pnemonia. I saw him twice, once back in the day with a band, more recently in a duo format. I don't think he had been diagnosed all that long ago. He or his wife were online not that long ago saying that Joe was working on his autobiography and encouraging fans to send gig flyers, media stories, their memories, memorabiia, and anything else related to Joe's career for help with and possible use in the book. It's especially sad he died at a time when he hadn't been working on that project that long.

Tony Carr, 98, jazz and "pop" drummer with an incredibly long list of credts, including playing on Hot Chocolate's "You Sexy Thing". And although the following article doesn't mention it, he also did session work for the British band CCS, who had a minor US hit with a strange cover of Led Zeppelin's "Whole Lotta Love.":

Haven't found corroboration of this yet, but Dave Robinson (co-founder of Stiff Records, manager of Graham Parker, etc.) has posted on Facebook that Andrew Bodnar, bassist for The Rumour (band that did two tours of duty backing Parker in addition to recording on their own) , has passed away. Robinson has no reason to lie but he provided no other details than saying Bodnar passed away. If so, it's another tragic loss of a Rumour member, following the death of Bob Andrews not that long ago.
