Bowie dead. Axl alive and doing a reunion. If you ever needed proof this world is unfair look no further.

R.I.P David Bowie.
Not only did you leave your mark on this world, your music and your words of wisdom reached me on a personal level. in my eyes you are irreplaceable and i will forever miss you.

Haven't cried this much in ages. He was one of my heroes.

I'm always kinda sceptical and smugly cynical about people being extremely sad when some celebrity dies.
I never was really shaken by the deaths of people I didn't personally know.
But it's seriously impossible for me to listen to Blackstar without crying. And it's on constant rotation today.

Was thinking about you first thing this AM. Listening to this and balling all over again.

Ziggy played guitar
Jamming good with Weird and Gilly
And the Spiders from Mars
He played it left hand
But made it too far
Became the special man
Then we were Ziggy's band

Ziggy really sang
Screwed-up eyes and screwed-down hairdo
Like some cat from Japan
He could lick 'em by smiling
He could leave 'em to hang
They came on so loaded, man
Well-hung and snow-white tan

So where were the spiders
While the fly tried to break our balls?
Just the beer light to guide us
So we bitched about his fans
And should we crush his sweet hands?
Oh

Ziggy played for time
Jiving us that we were voodoo
The kids were just crass
He was the nazz
With God-given ass
He took it all too far
But, boy, could he play guitar

Making love with his ego
Ziggy sucked up into his mind, ah
Like a leper messiah
When the kids had killed the man
I had to break up the band

Truly a sad, sad day. My mother was a big Bowie fan growing up and passed it on to me, I threw my old copy of Ziggy Stardust on and listened to it after I heard the news this morning. One of my all time favorites, Stevie Ray Vaughan was his guitarist for a short while, appearing on the Let's Dance album before breaking away right before the tour to further his solo career. First Lemmy and now Bowie... Rest in peace.

There's a star man in the sky...

Totally bummed out right now. Honestly didn't know he was sick. Huge shock to me waking up and seeing this. Looks like I'm getting drunk tonight and whipping out some LPs.

One of the most unique voices in rock by a longshot. One of my families favorite musicians by a long stretch. His brilliant baritone voice and stage presence matched by very few is gonna be missed. Not one man could match the swagger and the ease at which he bedazzled audiences. Just last week my friends and I threw on Bowie because of birthday good tidings. RIP to one of the truly best. Thoughts and Prayers to Iman.
