Yes, RIP. Until reading a couple of articles about her after her passing, I didn’t realize she was from Wales. I thought she was American. I guess I never paid that much attention to her outside of her big hits, which were ubiquitous.

Practically every obituary I've seen had Jurrassic Park in the headline. And even this BBC piece on his best-known roles didn't include my two favorites: Andrzej Żuławski's Possession (1981) and Reilly, Ace of Spies, a historic British show set in post-revolutionary Russia.

Freddy Cannon, whose many hits included "Palisades Park", "Way Down Yonder In New Orleans", "Action", "Abigail Beecher", and "Tallahassee Lassie." A friend of mine who, like me, is a big Flamin' Groovies fan, was disappointed to learn from me that "Tallahassee Lassie" was written and first recorded by Cannon, not the Groovies.

Both of those bands he was in were well known and popular in the Boston area. DMZ broke up before I had a chance to see them perform live but I did see the Lyres. The Lyres were the opening act but I can't recall the headliner at the moment.
