What do you even know about gang activity? It seems to me that you watch too many movies and Dateline specials. I can't find any actual logic or evidence in your statements. Only generalizations.

no but that's my point, you seem to be only limiting it to long range without taking into considerations instances where close combat comes into play.

But they choose guns because it is much more inconvenient to stab someone. Anyone can shoot someone. It's why we don't use swords in warfare anymore. Because guns change the equation.

You still think this is about guns vs. knives in a 1 on 1 situation don't you?

What is your proof that America is more violent? You seem to have no evidence for this assumption, but you are absolutely married to it.

The US is 82 on the Global Peace Index scale.

I didn't make any claim saying that it was the most violent nation in the world I'm just piggying backing off of the common thoughts from foreigners that don't live in America that feel that the violence here is higher than anywhere else in the world.

Nope, I'm not limiting it at all. I'm saying that it's easier to kill someone with a gun than with a knife. One of the biggest reasons is because you can shoot without getting within arm's reach, which is something you can't do with a knife. I'm not sure why you think that's such an unreasonable way to demonstrate my point.

I have no problem with America, Americans are another story though. But in the end, I do not care, things are tough all over.

on numerous occasions throughout these past few pages I have agreed with you on that but the part where I disagree is that just because just because killing someone is slightly harder isn't going to stop a person from attempting to kill who they want to kill if guns were no longer a factor.

Oh look... another gun debate. Why not make a thread about gun laws instead of posting on a thread about hating America?
