By stating that he would attempt to use a knife while drunk backs up Jans statement. I wasn't arguing against it for that particular part of the scenario.

You keep saying that Jans is only using scenarios that illustrate his point. How about giving us some scenarios that illustrate your point then? If there are any.

my scenarios that I have given are just LMAO hypotheticals so no, I'm not going to give anymore. You can go back and re-read some that I have stated.

Jans gives a scenario and it's all fine and dandy to back up his argument but if I give one then where is my experience in the field and everything else that has been said by others.

I figured you wouldn't be able to back up your argument. Try thinking before you make an argument for once.

No, my point was to compare the amount of damage a jackass can do with a gun to how much damage he can do with a knife.

Yes, I've never claimed guns have somehow changed human nature. All I'm saying is they make killing people a lot easier.

I have agreed with this part of your statement a couple of times now.

So then what are we talking about?

I think the better argument with making guns illegal has already been raised; that being that criminals will still find ways to illegally get their hands on guns while law abiding citizens won't have the means to protect themselves.

I was under the impression that you thought violence would take a sharp dive/decline without guns around.

Which was an error on my part

I do think it would decline, at least somewhat. Keep in mind I'm not saying it would go away, just that it would make it harder for violent people to cause as much damage.
