Absolutely. I don't ever wanna go back to non-hd format. I prefer the new engines in the latest consoles also. Gameplay is night and day from ps2 to 3. I still have a softspot for older consoles but they don't stand up to current consoles. Pulled out my sega genesis a few weeks back to play some streets of rage and that lasted about ten minutes. There is just no comparison.

dude shenmue was awesome you could collect all those little tokens.

remember the part when you got to use the forklift to move boxes around in a warehouse?

great game no doubt

Let me put it this way; when I was younger, most music nerds I knew would not shut the **** up about Dream Theater. However, whenever I listened to Dream Theater, I just heard a eunuch with a godawful voice backed by group of jagoffs who masturbated with their instruments. Convinced that I was just wasn't getting it, I endured hours of listening to this band, until it dawned on me the music nerds I knew were mostly dumbasses and had horrible taste in music. Shenmue was like the Dream Theater.... for Dreamcast.

No I agree, i was kidding about the forklift part, it was very tedious.

In terms of narrative presentation it was pretty ahead of its time though

that's pretty much how i feel about DT as well, except i never tried getting into them at all, it was hate at 1st listen

haven't played Shenmue

the Dreamcast wasn't really popular at all here and only specialty shops had the console and the games

Actually i've kept every game i have bought over the years. I have Colecovision, atari 5200, Intellivision, sega genesis, and NES along with all of the playstations. I just appreciate the hd format and the gameplay blows older units out of the water.

Meh I don't think so. Mass Effect may have technically better and more varied gameplay, but I still enjoy Final Fantasy VII way more than it.

Grand Theft Auto is another example that comes to mind. GTA IV is the most refined one... and the least fun.

Also, I couldn't care less about graphics, a good story wins every time.

Final Fantasy bores me to tears. I'm not very fond of GTA either, it reminds me of a hodgepodge of games thrown together to make one. Never got into it personally. You couldn't care less about graphics, but i certainly do. Thats what i bought an hd tv for was to play hd games, not dust off my old colecovision and play something blurry and boring. Different strokes.

Well what're some of your favorite games?
