Nothing is worse than the N64's controller. Jeez.

the original xbox controller was pretty gnarly, shit was almost as big as my damn head

I liked the original X-Box controller; it was gigantic, but it was very comfortable. It made marathon gaming sessions a breeze. The black/white buttons weren't the most conveniently located, but it was better than the revised controller wherein you had to use your thumb joint... backwards.

The N64 controller was great. You just had to play it for hours on end each day to get used to it.

I probably played it more often than not when Zelda, Mario, Mario Cart and Super Smash Bros were out.

I've only ever had playstations. I was a kid when the first one came out and played crash bandicoot, medievel, spyro, and eventually talked teh momz into letting me play parasite eve 1 and 2- rated M for MATURE. Felt like a badass and bragged about it all the damn time in oh.... 2nd grade?

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND PARASITE EVE. If you haven't played it and are a fan of survival horror/RPGs, it's beyond awesome. I liked the second one a bit more because the boss battles were more intense and fun. And the combat is real time. I just started playing it again and it is still as good as it was like 15 years ago.

Anywho, ps1 is very nostalgic and I like it the most for that reason. I agree with the consensus that the PS2 had a lot of great games but nostalgia > that. My experience with the PS3 has been underwhelming so far, but there's still a lot of games I wanna play when I can afford to buy some.

50$ for a video game is effin expensive.

My experience seems a pretty much mirror image of yours, except I felt like a badass owning Resident Evil 2 back in the day, mostly because the cover art for the game was creepy as hell to someone my age. :thumb:

Oh and games are $60 now, PS1 and 2 games were $50

Nothing can top being the only kid in my class who had Duke Nukem 3D on my computer, everyone wanted to come over and see pixelated bewbs. My mum was okay with it too, in fact I think she got the game for herself but let me play it anyways because she had already let me play Doom
