I've pretty much given up for good at this point. I'm still kind of wary to go near groups of friends smoking at parties though so I guess I'm not 100% out of the danger zone yet.

That's great! Yeah, I imagine it must b hard to be exposed to smoking when you're trying to stop. I rememer my dad saying that after he quit, it was hard to go anywhere without feeling tempted to smoke. That was back in the 90's when you could still smoke in restaurants and bars, so it was everywhere. After awhile he became repulsed by the smell, so maybe that will happen with you.

Well done! Keep it up

Still recommend that book if you get a chance to read it Allen Carr's Easy Way to Stop Smoking: Be a Happy Non-smoker for the Rest of Your Life: Amazon.co.uk: Allen Carr: Books

Do the cartridges for e-cigs last long? They seem pretty expensive, and part of the reason I'm trying to quit smoking is to stop wasting so much money. :/

Since Fetcher hasn't been online/replied I'll ask my dad for you as he's got one. Charges it via USB on the laptop .

Get a good E-Cig, even if it costs more. Usually last about two and a bit months.

Can get pretty cheap cartridges online, but the battery/bit that makes the smoke is what matters essentially.

I am an almost exclusive E-Cigger at the moment.

So what do e-cigarettes actually do? Do they just give you the satisfaction of smoking a real cigarette? I guess it's different for everyone, but I'm just wondering.

They give you the "hit" which is what I smoked for initially, before getting addicted.

Also replaces the action of smoking itself.

Also for the oral fixation too. Some people just need to have something in their mouth.
