Ah really? To be fair, it never seemed that bad, more of a case of not being anything to do plus really scummy beaches, spent most of my time in Mt Eliza/Mornington. No idea about Broady, basically anything north of Sunbury is bogan territory to me.

I'd like to be just boring, but I'm interested in stuff and try to do new stuff, so everyone I meet treats me like I'm interesting. But I really think I'm boring and kind of sad.

I just pretend it's normal, and go on with it. I wish it was easier a lot of the time, but then I tell myself that I'm just getting life experience, albeit it strange and convoluted life experience.

As an aside, AMC has a series about Ashland in the works - albeit Red Scare era Ashland - and I'm hoping they catch the bizarre terror of the area in the series.
