I've got some of the first ones, Adidas ones. I use them for when I do calf raises with dumbbells as if I wear trainers it's too much elevation and isn't comfortable and with no shoes I'm slipping about all over the place, but those are perfect for it.

I am actually pretty liberal-minded about closed-toed shoes; to each his/her own.
That said, my man is the masculine type and, as such, wouldn't be caught dead in those pansy @$$ things. If they turned out to be highly functional with good traction, I might consider a pair for myself, however. |
