I've got some of the first ones, Adidas ones. I use them for when I do calf raises with dumbbells as if I wear trainers it's too much elevation and isn't comfortable and with no shoes I'm slipping about all over the place, but those are perfect for it.

Imo shoes are bacteria traps, with those things you are only compartmentalizing the bacteria trap for each toe. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ But if I did have a pair Vibram FiveFingers they would be the largest pair I could find. I would hike throughout the state Washington after it rains leaving behind a trail of large footprints.

TFW when you hear that people still believe in Big Foot.

I am actually pretty liberal-minded about closed-toed shoes; to each his/her own.

That said, my man is the masculine type and, as such, wouldn't be caught dead in those pansy @$$ things. If they turned out to be highly functional with good traction, I might consider a pair for myself, however.
