I think what Batman's getting at is that diversifying your diet will be a lot more healthy than a starvation-based diet where the only veggies and fruits you consume are carrots and apples ("nasty" supplements aside).

i didn't know we had so many doctors and nutritionists in the house what a lucky group we are to have this infallible wisdom shared with us

its what i like to eat though, i appreciate the concern....

ive recently thought about adding nuts, to my diet. like cashews and walnuts..

Is there any science that supports the thesis that a diverse diet is healthier than a repetitive diet or are y’all just going on horse sense?

And if a diverse diet is beneficial at what point are diminishing returns hit and is there a point where less diversification becomes advantageous?

There’s nothing scientific about this (that I know) but dogs seem to be able to maintain excellent health with a very repetitive diet.

If we’re just going on horse sense here we could make arguments against a diverse diet. You’re body has to adjust. It throws your digestion off. Whatever.
