A Creative Writing Competition

I think I might dig out "The Case of the Missing Sandwich," a piece I wrote on an actual typewriter when I was a tween. I'll just change a few facts and say it's a Halloween sandwich in order to fit the horror theme of the contest. This way, I can submit a story I already wrote while simultaneously avoiding getting my feelings hurt from any sort of critique.

So, what's up with this?
I'm not good enough to write something in English, but participating here would be a nice incentive to translate some of my older, German texts.

My English is pretty good, not fishing for compliments here, but I have high standards when it comes to my writing and it just doesn't feel adequate for that task.

If Grindy were Austrian we could say "close enough" but Ukranians are more closely related to Russians than Germans.

Honestly, since it looks like this thread isn't going to be a competition so much as a place for people to post what they've written, you guys can all throw up your work whenever you want. If you want to post it anonymously, you can PM the story to someone, and have them post it on your behalf. I still think it'd be fun to have a weekly or monthly theme, so maybe we could do that in the future. But for right now, feel free to upload your stuff at your leisure. I've been getting bored after finishing my journal, so I might write and post something soon just to keep myself occupied.
