Since I haven't received many stories so far, I'm just going to extend the deadline until October 30th. I think it's better this way, since that means that all of these creepy horror stories will be posted for voting the following day, on Halloween.

If anyone wants to join, all you have to do is write something influenced by the theme of "Horror", and then PM the story to me. On Halloween, all of the stories will be posted and voted on, and the names of the authors will be revealed after a winner has been declared. The winning author will receive... eternal glory!

It'll probably be pretty easy to tell, is the whole anonymity thing necessary?

You'd be surprised how differently people write when they're crafting a story, as opposed to when they're just bumping egos in the lounge. And yes, anonymity is necessary, to keep voters from being too biased. Besides, even if it isn't necessary, it's still fun to try to guess which story was written by which user, and then see how your guesses fared when the names are revealed.

Now stop worrying, love the bomb, and submit a story. You've still got half a month to whip something up.

I'm fine either way, I was just seeing if anyone else felt it was unnecessary. I'll just go with it because I happen to be wearing a Dr. Strangelove shirt right now.
