Damn, man...I don't think I would have the guts to even risk food from a Chevron. Friends get breakfast burritos and tend to get **** from there when they are drunk, but I don't think I've ever been drunk enough to even consider eating that. You have officially reaffirmed that fear...

Got a call from a potential employer to meet him as soon as possible to fill out some paperwork. Despite probably waiting a few more months (government position), everything appears to be heading in the right direction.

Flew to Belfast yesterday for a wedding and to see some friends for a few days. Went to an awesome pool hall/bar with some great tunes last night. Today will be a good old fashioned Guinnes session.

Alright, check this out.

The only reason I'm up this early is because my brother woke me up at 6 AM, with the news that my best friend was missing.

To explain this any further, I'm going to have back track a little bit.

My friend Swainy is visiting from New Hampshire (about 1,000 miles north from here), where he just recently got released from federal probation. He's been here about 5 days now, and it's been "drink one day, rest the next" so far, and we've been building up to a Flogging Molly gig at our local venue this Saturday. And last night, we rolled in whiskey drunk with a bottle of Cuervo to the place where my brother's girlfriend was baby-sitting.

So when my brother roused me from my slumber before the sun rose to tell me that my best friend was missing in the cold, I was a little alarmed. So I checked the grounds on foot while my brother made a scan of the locality on wheels. I eventually made it back to the apartment where we had posted ourselves, and my brother showed up shortly thereafter to pick me up. On the ride to our house, I was branded with horrific visions of Swainy frozen to death on the side of the highway, having to explain the situation to his mother, his girlfriend and the police. "I'm sorry, but Swainy's dead." Just doesn't roll off the tongue well. So we got to the house, where we check every bed, every couch, and every floor, until we make it to my room, where we find Swainy in my fuckin' bed with his hand in his fuckin pants!

I'm going to destroy that motherfucker when he wakes up.

A bit of weirdness in my life: My parents decided to fly to Kuwait for the weekend, to celebrate their 25th anniversary (I still can't understand, why Kuwait). Anyway, this same day, my brother arrives from Canada. Only my other brother and I know about this, my parents don't have a single idea.

I still can't get through all this secrecy... let's wait for Monday, and see my parents' reaction. This will be rich.

Got drunk today in a pub where a Blues band was playing, great music it was. I was the 7th wheel this time, what a record.
Anyway, my brother have been here for more than 10 hours, and I still haven't spoke to him. It's driving me crazy! He's either away or asleep.

Today has been dull, but yesterday I saw a band called Lotus play. They are a lot like Soundtribe Sector 9, only less electronic and more of a rock vibe. I am hesitant to put them in the jam band category since that implies a certain Phish type sound, but they do improvise a ton. Got thoroughly hammered in the process. A good night.
