^Best. Snack. Ever.

Got a new Sansa Player since my old one broke. Took about 40 minutes of hassle to get Rockbox on it since it was a V2. Found out that the ID3 tags for my AAC files are all messed up, so I'm probably going to have a bit of fun with that then. At least an hour on that I bet.

Also, trying to see if I can get a group of friends together for a concert, since Passion Pit are playing in a venue about 10 minutes away.

Congratulations! :) It's also good to see you back around here.

Well, today I have a telephone interview for a job. I have it in an hour actually. This makes me very nervous, I hate it. If it was face to face, I would be fine. I would be confident, to the point of even having a bit of arrogance about me (not too much, obviously) but telephone interviews are just pure evil.

I'm pretty sure telephones in and of themselves are pure evil. At least most of the time.

Fingers crossed for ya!

Thanks. :)

Also, thats what I think too. I really do not like talking on the phone. It makes me uncomfortable. I am always on edge, to some extent. If I was face to face with the same person, I would be in a totally different frame of mind.

Yet for some reason, I find I can do it professionally. I used to work in a call centre and I was fine with that. This job is for a call centre too (sigh) but the last telephone interview I had was shocking. I knew that I wasn't going to get the job before the interview had finished and I could tell that they had already crossed my name off the list.

I have never had a telephone interview, but man oh man. They sound awfully intimidating, Cause they have to judge so much on so little.

But best of luck to you!

Thank you. I've had it now though and I'm happy with it. Very happy actually. Still, I don't know how many positions they have and how many people have applied so I have no idea what my chances are.

Congrats, Lateralus, on your new job!

Our local school has a wonderful young kindergarten teacher...so sweet and kind and fun. She really makes the entrance to the school experience a good one. I feel you are lucky to get a class of young kids, because you can make a such a positive difference in their lives!

And they are pretty small, so at least when they get out of control they can't hurt anyone...much. ;) Just make sure they don't get wild with those pencils! When I helped in a 1st grade class, pencils and eyes being poked out were a constant fear for me. You turn your back and the next moment there's a pencil sword fight going on! GAA!!!

I hope you'll have an aide, because otherwise I can see how you could get run ragged with a bunch of little kids often wanting to do their own thing. After helping out, I could see why class size matters. The teacher I was helping said it would be impossible to do the job without volunteers to help, because you have to spend individual time with children evaluating their progress, which means you can't easily watch the whole class that dissolves quickly into chaos without supervision.
