my day yesterday was pretty fun and outside of the norm for me.

I went to Chilis with my friend and then afterwards we went to Barnes and Nobles to window shop.

I took him over to the Manga section and saw some D&D books along the way and I started to explain the game to him. I think I got him so interested in D&D that we might start up a game. I have an AD&D beginner starter set. I will probably look up some ebook versions of monster manuals and DM guides. I also made a new friend at Barnes & Noble. I was also checking out the demo for the Nook Color and I want it soooo badly. I really need to save up my money to get it.

Chili's is the only GOOD Tex-Mex we have here so I go there quite often

I played some RPGs, but mostly Lovecraft and Philip K. Dick modules

my fren was an awesome gamesmaster, able to spin an enthralling tale, only problem is the players were TOO competitive and it often devolved to simple hackenslash

In high school, I used to play a Star Wars pen and paper rpg and I hated my DM so badly. He always wanted a kill switch or something on us. We would randomly get knocked out and then wake up with say like some sort of explosive strapped to our spine. So if we did something he didn't like he would just blow us ALL UP!

I know I was so disappointed when he picked Chili's over TGIF. I had never been there but I just had a feeling it wasn't going to be that great.

TGIF is much worse than Chili's, here, anyway

The appetizers alone at TGIF trumps anything that Chilis serves

I do loves me some deep fried green beans at TGIF...and their desserts are better than Chili's. But Chili's has better food on the whole, me thinks.
