I'd probably put up a camera or something so I could press charges incase a drunk decided to damage my car or something.

I live close to three bars so I guess I shouldn't turn my nose up at it too much. It is nice to stumble/walk home all the time after drinking but I haven't been out drinking in ages.

I wouldn't be able to stand the friggin' noise.
I'd hang out of the window screaming "WANT TO SLEEP, SHUT THE **** UP!" :D.

I lived in a row of flats opposite a pub. Infact the entire street was pubs and take-away's. It was great, plus the possible disadvantages of living so close to a steady stream of drunk people is balanced out when you're always too wasted to care anyway.

Hahaha, wouldn't want to live that life I guess :)

I was often hanging out of the window shouting, but it wasn't instructing people to shut up. It was a great party flat.

s_k 03-04-2011 07:50 AM

I don't mind a nice party, but I only want it when I attend it.
I don't want a party outside my door every night.
I guess I'm getting old...

^^it only bothered me for a while

after about a month, I could easily fall asleep even with all the noise and the window-knocking

My ex lives next to an alley that really echoes badly. There's a pub on the corner and the alley itself is used as a shortcut quite a lot.
You have the pub sounds at night and the truck delivering stuff to the pub in the morning.
Oh Joy...

I was telling Lisnaholic via PM that I had to unplug the eMac (computah) that's on my bedroom at night because I can hear the power supply buzzing (it's not even turned on then). I've had clock radio's that I had to put on a sock because of the transformer making a slight sound. I am used to absolute silence.

Burning Down 03-04-2011 08:19 AM

I need white noise at night. Puts me to sleep and if I wake up during the night from a dream or something (which is rare), I'll know that I'm still safe in my bedroom :). Maybe I'm a little paranoid, but that's the way I like it. Thank goodness for fans and humidifiers!

I don't know about anyone else here, but I also like the little blinking lights or digital displays from various electronics in the room to be on overnight. They give a little bit of light so if I have to get up for whatever reason, I won't fall on my face.

s_k 03-04-2011 08:43 AM

I hate the blinking lights, when they blink that is.
Used to have a video that blinked after it has lost power.
The light was so bright I thought it there was a thunderstorm going on and I was bracing for the big kaboom that never came.
It's strange, when it's summer I have a fan on my bedroom. I can't put that away, I get used to the noise so much that I can't sleep without anymore :)
