It's always tough. They've kicked me out numerous times as a result of THEM arguing. Yes, they argue, and I get kicked out. I've concluded that they'd rather fight with no kids around, etc. But still, I've had to find places to go on numerous occasions. Honestly though, it is best to just let it be a passive thing, otherwise it'll become a trait that you will grow into. Sad thing is, I notice that i'm more like my mom most of the time now, and it sucks. It's the result of listening into my parents fighting for most of my life.

Yeah same, for instance I came in from work one day and decided to chill for an hour or so before cleaning the dishes because my dad wasn't due home til later (I do my 'chores' before my parents come home) so long story short I fell asleep due to being up at 6am and didn't do the dishes, so I was literally thrown out of the house because my dad didn't believe me.

I love my parents but they do take their arguments out on me and treat me unfairly when they're in a bad mood or so. I can't help but get upset or whatever. I try and ignore them because I should be used to it by now but I end up retaliating because I've got enough **** on my plate without them being a **** to me for absolutely no reason.

Like I say it's once in a blue moon or even every few years but it ****ing sucks when it happens.

I definitely can relate. At least in your case it's once every blue moon, my parents duke it out at least once a week, maybe twice. It used to be daily, but my dad usually goes into his room and stays there for most of the day nowadays, whereas my mom takes the living room. They don't really sit in the same room for too long.

That sucks, at least they know what sparks the arguments, sometimes people just have their own way of sorting **** out but it sucks when you get the brunt of it for literally just being there.

Funny thing is, I know exactly when it happens, so it's like "oh, time for me to get outta here before the fireworks start". Which is fine with me, because I love being out of the house more.

Yeah I normally leave too, I took my dog a walk when they started, when I got back I went to my room, had dinner and now I'm waiting on my friend coming to pick me up even though they have finished their rammying for the evening. I'm not going to sit in an atmosphere all night or alternatively have to stay in my room.

I don't sit with them at the best of times and they genuinely wonder why and moan at me because I don't spend time with them. STOP BEING A FECKING ARSEHOLE THEN.

Exactly! It doesn't matter when the argument is over, the atmosphere of the house completely changes and it's so awkward being around my parents when they're done fighting because they have this attitude and it's impossible to say anything to them.

I saw a woman today who looked exactly like an R. Crumb illustration and i have to say it was a strangely fascinating experience.
