Had an extraordinarily musical day today. I played music for the good part of ten hours straight, only to be interrupted by walks and talking to the family.

I've been listening to harsh noise quite a bit lately and I decided to do some on my guitar and arsenal of pedals, which was pretty successful. Then I practiced some new singing techniques that are hard to explain. Imagine a screeching bird being killed with a jackhammer, and that's close to the sound that I was singing. Pretty fun and educational as well.

Then I jammed at the tunnel, as usual. Just saxophone and guitar with another bandmate and those songs came out to be very interesting. I can tell that it's going to be one of those that I listen to often from now on.

Then we returned home and switched to electric instruments, which also proved cacophonous and lovely. We ended up coming up with an Indian sounding industrial psychedelica that sounds like an incredibly odd fusion that works very well. Another one that I plan to listen to again in the near future.

I am sore, insanely sore. My body hurts from the exertion that I use to play reed instruments (hardcore freejazz ain't easy, kids), and my fingertips are tender to the touch. These trivial pains are definitely worth the fantastic music that I made today.

I don't know about that, but I think I may have still been in elementary school. Like maybe nine or ten. That was back in the old days of dial up where the only place to really get videos of any quality was pay sites. The only thing I had was pics for a while, so I don't even think that I knew that people moved during sex. Like, the dude must just stick it in and let it marinate.

I found my iPod today. You know, the one that's been missing for three months? Well guess what, the little fucker was hiding in my saxophone case, cackling madly as it went. I was utterly shocked to find that it was right under my nose this whole time (I take my saxophone to most of the places that I go), while I thought that I dropped it and someone stole it. Unfortunately, it's still broken.

My Labrador fell asleep in my arms today (actual sleep, she's still alive) and it was one of the cutest things that I've ever seen, even though she is very old.

I got coached today for being too wordy on my calls - I was told that it sounded like I was talking down to the customers when I used big words and extremely proper grammar. The call in question:

I said, "We can't set an arrangement for 'some time next week,' sir. We would need a specific date through which to set said arrangement."

I also used, "as it were," at one point, and said that, "This, and any subsequent bills, would reflect the cycle change you set up previously with customer service."

Seriously? That's how I speak with people I don't know, and often with people I know well. I feel comfortable speaking that way, and don't sound like I'm reading from a script. I don't know. I think they're just nit-picking. They weren't 'mad' about it, per say - I think they just needed something to gripe about.

And too wordy?! I have the best handle time on my team. I think I'm doing just fine.

Additionally, if I happened to be a customer calling in somewhere, I'd like that the representative I was speaking with was using proper grammar and had a solid grasp of the English language. I'd feel like they would probably know what they were doing.

Downloaded some tunes, put in a good workout and went to train MMA with my team. Trying to put a dent into the 7+ hours of new music that I downloaded. Looking forward to seeing Aesop Rock perform later tonight =]

so they're punishing you for being well educated and intelligent in the way you speak? What a pile of ****. That would annoy me so much.

Went sledding/snowboarding last night. It was a blast! My buddy has quite a few boards and sleds, the temp was about 32Deg F. and the hill was packed/icy snow and perfect. Kids made a few jumps, and a couple obstacles that almost took out an unsuspecting little girl at one point. Just a great time, and I even went down the hill a few times with my beer in hand.
