I hear you, I love my dad very much, he was neither perfect nor was I.

I am the black sheep as I was out of commission and listed as missing while I did very bad things for many years.That dont mean all the years before I bounced were meaningless.

The man raised me, and the funny part is my sisters are the good little sheep that stayed in the fold.Ask me who got to the hospital first! Always vote for the underdog, they come out swinging when you least exspect it.

Got a gym membership finally and signed up for some boxing lessons. I have a lot of anger issues lately and have been surpressing some extremely violent impulses, hoping this helps...

Does it work for you?

We went over aggression and coping strategies in my Psych class a few weeks ago and the research suggested that taking out one's anger on a punching bag or something similar is actually counter-productive, but I'm a proponent of encouraging whatever works for each specific case rather than making generalizations based on studies so I'm curious to hear how it ends up helping/not helping.
