Had been up in downtown of Irvine, CA for 2 full days of depositions and the 4 of us went out to grab dinner. We're sitting outside chowing down and the next thing I know it's all black and I'm slowly lifting my head and coming to in a total haze not knowing at all where the hell I am, what I'm doing, or why I'm here. I remember slowly turning my head side to side and trying to absorb the surroundings (we're in the middle of downtown surrounded by tall office buildings) and it simply wasn't registering.
I look down and Jeff, Yvette, and Bob are staring at me with these WHAT THE **** looks on their faces and asking me what's wrong and if I'm allright. I start asking questions where am I, why am I here, when did I get here, etc.
Very slowly things came back into focus and the cobwebs went away. Jeff, (my boss) asked me to stick out my tongue to see if it was drooping to one side or the other - it wasn't. I'll never forget the look on our lawyers face as he kept an eye on me for the next 15 minutes or so - like he was ready to pull out his phone and dial 911 while administering CPR at the same time if I was to keel over.
Have felt fine ever since but will definitely follow up with my doc. Easily one of the most surreal experiences in my 56+ years.
