Well if you concentrate on your armpits it can be put to good use.

Before I went back home today, I caught a nice Bach string quartet performance at the LA Union Station that was part of a week long celebration of his 333 birthday. They were perfectly set for the building's acoustics and made my sleep-deprived morning. If I had known I would have gone there earlier and had my breakfast there.

That sounds so cool.

It really was. Apparently they have all sorts of stuff like that at the LA Union Station which is even cooler imo. Bring the art to the people.

Damn it, LA is so cool. We'd never even think of having anything like that. Maybe at night, but definitely not in the morning. Just makes it so much cooler that you can go there, as you did, listen, enjoy and then take that on with you to work, school or back to the house. Superb.

Don't worry, it balances out. Close access to art and career opportunities are the only reasons that I would ever want to live there.

Do you live in a bigger city or are you in a more rural area? The only similar thing that I know about in Ireland is the Bloomsday festival in Dublin where they celebrate Joyce and Ulysses.

No I'm in Dublin, which is of course the capital, and yes, they do music festivals, concerts and so on, but I've never heard of one taking place in the morning. I just don't think that's a very Irish thing. Guess we're all dealing with the hangover at that time. Might not go down well: "Oi! You on the cello! Keep it ****in down will ya? Me head's splittin'!"

Bought two boxes of beer (forty bottles) for 2-3 euros yesterday.
Didn't even notice that the cashier had made that mistake, until my friend pointed it out.
