Bon Voyage, Necromancer! Have a good Christmas!

ThePhanastasio 12-08-2012 10:02 PM

Have a safe trip Necromancer, and a great holiday!

Today, I was bummed to realize that both holidays we get off of work, Christmas and New Year's Day, are on Tuesdays - my day off. Thoroughly pissed, I was all, "Damn it all. I won't be getting free holiday pay this year."

Au contraire.

My manager informed my team that we still get our forty hours of incentive pay (up to $3 over base pay, depending on our attendance, QA, and dollars collected; I usually get all $3) AND an extra 8 hours of base pay for both of those weeks. So that check will be me getting paid for an extra 16 hours for free!

That is so ****ing awesome.

Blarobbarg 12-09-2012 08:02 AM

So last night I had my first and probably last show with my band. We formed for my going away party, and will probably never play together again. But hey, we sounded good! Sort've a folk rock/hard rock/funk/gospel/psychedelic thing going on. We played several songs at the start of the party, and then had an impromptu jam session at the end with a lot of improvisation going on. All in all, a good night.

Today I have a huge project to do which is supposed to only take 2 days to finish but I'm so behind I have to do it in one day and do an exam as well! I just want to get it over with but I have work first. :(

downwardspiral 12-09-2012 08:59 AM

Today I am in work hanging out of my arse. I've had two Mcdonalds' and four cans of Pepsi Max to try and make myself feel better. It's kind of worked, but I still feel grim and I have four hours of work to get through yet. Not even sure if last night was worth feeling like this.

Went out cos my favourite club in town closed down 'for good' back in February but opened up again last night for a one off night so I was like "I HAVE TO GO". Was pretty fun and the music was great as always but before it, my two housemates and I went to a few pubs, my mate Rob had already had almost a full bottle of Red Stag (40%) before leaving the house so was really ****ing drunk and vomited all over the first pub we went to, so I had to clean him up (which is fine, hardly a huge effort), then by the third pub he decided to jump back in a taxi home cos he couldn't stay out cos of the state he was in. When we got to the club, me and my other housemate met up with some of our other friends, but the club was full of absolute idiots, not its usual crowd, we think cos a new and terrible club has opened up next door, a lot of people have drifted over into the club we were in to see what it was like with it being really busy, but it was just full of really ****ing horrible people with bad attitudes being really immature. One guy was stood at the side of the dancefloor smoking a cigarette, with his dick out having a p*ss onto the wall. Then after I'd left to go home (I tried to be responsible and leave early-ish with me being in work today) I got a message to say one of my friends had been glassed by some ****ing idiot because he pushed my friend's girlfriend down the stairs and when my friend obviously defended her, this guy just smashed a glass over his face. Disgusting. I hate people.

I can't wait to get home, make a brew and sit in bed and watch The Fearless Freaks. 8pm can't come quick enough.

This morning I went to a Christmas coffee house/open mic at my school. I didn't perform anything but my boyfriend is currently learning violin and he performed a simple version of Silent Night that was in one of his books. I just took lots of pictures at this one, but I think for next time I will have something prepared to play on stage.

Scarlett O'Hara 12-09-2012 10:58 PM

That's so cute, good on you guys! I got 80% of my project done today yay! So just the last part and exams tomorrow. That was a close shave timewise.

I actually ended up having a pretty excellent weekend all things considered, even if I didn't get much studying done.

Friday night was game night at a friend's place. We smoked a lot of pot, ate a turkey and dumplings stew and played Risk: Lord of the Rings Edition. While I still hate Risk as a whole, it was a hell of a lot more entertaining than vanilla Risk.

Saturday I worked on some playlists, did some studying, cut myself shaving, and then went out to a bar. Went home with a girl too because she said she saw a band play in my room (it was a popular venue at a time) so she wanted to see the changes. Rolled us a fat joint, we watched Supernatural on Hulu Plus and then went to bed. She had to go the next morning but she left me her number so I'll see where this heads.

Sunday I did a little more studying, then went out a bought a couple of things for myself because I have no impulse control. Still my new shirt-jacket thing and boots are mighty comfortable and my bank account balance is still sitting pretty high, so all things considered it was a good weekend.

Now I just have to take my math final and then enjoy a month an a half without school, then back for one more semester.

Key 12-10-2012 09:55 AM

I had my second interview with the store manager at Office Depot today. Will know by Friday if I did well enough to get a job offer.

Also been emailing the manager at an apartment complex and a lot of confusion is going on. Hopefully that will get figured out.

Best case scenario: I will get the job at Office Depot and the manager at the apartment complex will tell me that our move in date is in a couple days.

Really hoping that the best case scenario happens.

Had an audition today for a role I desperately want to get and COMPLETELY ****ed halfway through. Thank god Acting II has taught me the fundamentals of improv cause without it, I wouldn't have any hope at all that I may have got the part.

I found photo booth photos in my jacket pocket from my cousins wedding on Sunday. This was during the end of the night when my best friend, girlfriend, and I were very intoxicated. Very. What a wedding.

I have no idea how to make this image smaller. I apologize.

I've been working frantically on my English paper which is due tomorrow and moving as well in the process. Thankfully, I just got an email from my English teacher that the deadline to turn in the paper was extended until this Friday. Thank ****ing god, now I won't have to stay up until four this morning trying to bust out an extra fifteen pages. I've been without internet until today because of the move. I'm really glad I got the extension or else I would have turned in the paper significantly balder.

Think I might have gotten my ex-girlfriend jealous today. She passed right by me today while I was walking with this extremely attractive female, her face, it's indescribable.

That is awesome Exo! I had no idea the photo booths were like that, my sister has booked one for her wedding :D

The day isn't over yet. How do you know how the day will end? Unless you're asleep now. That would be weird.

I sleepwalk sometimes, and the **** that I do is so weird that if he's asleep I wouldn't be surprised.

I once witnessed my friend at four in the morning come out of his room, go in the kitchen, open up the fridge for some milk and head towards the counter. I was like "Dude, you're awake? You making cereal? Make me some man." The I realized he was sleeping because he just started pouring milk into a box of chocolate donuts. Milk doesn't go there at all.

I'm just going to start adding this sentence to the end of random things because it's hilarious. It also would make a great tee-shirt.

I'd sig it, but after nearly two years of having no quotes in my sig I'm a little oversigged at the moment...

When I was a kid Adam & The Ants played here and I begged my mother to go but she wouldn't let me.

Today she told me that she's bought tickets for me to go see him a couple of weeks before my birthday next year playing the exact same venue.

Only 30 years too late but I knew the old girl would come good in the end :D

I saw him recently and he can still put on a good show. I'm not too proud to say I love Adam & The Ants.
