I got a job interview for cleaning out dorm rooms. Sound hard as ****. On the phone they were like can you work 10-12 hour days? Can you lift 50 lbs?

I said lifting 50lbs over and over again for that long is a really hard day.

I left off that I’d stroke out and die. I went to the doctor for my depression meds today and we usually small talk about history and literature and sci-fi. At one point she said she doesn’t agree with me that billionaires are “hoarding” wealth. It stopped being a discussion then because I went off on a long ass vitriolic speech. Just the heat going from the doctors to the pharmacy exhausted me. I can’t do hard labor for 12 hours a day. I’m too old. ****.

Last night I didn’t go see a band I really like because I don’t like the club they were playing at. They’re Nazis with all the rules. No re-entry, no sitting, no free water, no moshing (I don’t care about that but they come running in like the gestapo), no vaping (and these gorillas will push into the crowd to remove a person who hits off a vape)

Seeing a show there is like being at work it’s so oppressive. I hate this place.

Old man rant coming: Back in the day at punk shows we did whatever we wanted.

I guess that’s why there’s a house party culture now. There was then too but

I used to go to a lot of shows in New Brunswick but the venues started to do exactly what you're describing so house party shows started to sprout up and I'll be damned if they weren't some of the most fun I've ever had seeing live music. Some of the bands were down right terrible but it was still nice because you can just go find a girl and ask them if they wanna smoke some weed on an old couch or go explore the basement. I could never live at these houses. That's one thing I don't regret about never having went away to college, the living situation with the coming and going of so many people would not sit well with me.
