At least I can read. I'm assuming you just use all those books as toilet paper.

I'm do the same ****. Most of the posting i do here is during smoke breaks I take at work.

When I'm working I listen to podcasts, music, comedy, etc to occupy my mind. My job is pretty chill tbh.

Retail/service jobs are ****

I know cause I worked them from my teens into my early to mid twenties

Then I realized I could make more money doing blue collar jobs

There's a wide variety of jobs like that though. You can't base it off one place.

I've had everything from unloading trucks by hand, to detail cleaning cars, to working in various factories manufacturing products, etc.

The sweetest job I had was just assembling lab equipment/furniture for science labs. It was easy but monotonous. But paid 16 an hr and gave almost 20 hours overtime. And you could listen to whatever the **** you wanted.

It's hard for me too. If you have a better alternative at hand go for it.

But I'm also just about making as much money as I can at the end of the day.

I was talking to my mom earlier. She's currently living in Vermont with her sister. She's about to move to San Antonio with my sister who is about to have another kid. She did the same when my sister had the first kid, just to help out.

I told her I admire her work ethic cause she's pushing 60 and still constantly working and putting her grind in. I would be lucky to have the same work ethic. She gave me a typically NJ Italian answer: it's all about the money.

I used to say the same thing. When I was 20.

I'm tired of being broke.
