Slow day at work but for some reason I kept ****ing up. It was like when I first started working, just those awkward stupid mistakes and taking forever to get **** done. IDK wtf was up with me but man, I haven't had a shift like that in a while.

OMW home, some creepy as fvck tweaker guy was trying to pick up on these very obviously underaged teenagers and even tried to follow them off the train. I almost stepped in but some other dude beat me to it and just yelled at him.

And now I'm home, wondering what I can do to get back in college. Some kid about my age came in at work. Just, damn. Nice ass clothes, clean shaven kinda look. Obviously made a lot of money doing something. He wasn't one of those rich kids, he had that respectful attitude a person has when they've worked hard for the life they have and appreciate it. I thought dang, I could probably have a life like that too if I stopped ****ing around.

You mean like an amphibian or a small child?

Today was my day off after 8 exhausting consecutive days in the nuthouse I affectionately refer to as "work".

I received a favorable insurance quote for our car (which has been newly passed to our full ownership), spoke with my bosslady about some concerns I have about the supervisor I keep bitching about, got all the laundry done, tidied up, lounged about, and now I'm well on my way to total inebriation.

Life is grand.

Paul Smeenus 06-25-2014 11:04 PM

Today, overall, was shit, some of you know why.

But today is June 25th, and every June 25th since 1995 I think of this song

Oh my god, it's been years since I've heard this! Love this song so much. What a lost gem.

I'm making myself a cool website for jobs. That's pretty much it. I have also been platting my hair at night to give it a crimped look the next day.

How funny, I twist mine while it's damp then pin it until it dries so it gets a bit curlier. That blow drying and flat ironing stuff is for the birds.

That's a great idea! I am trying to do more with my hair than just straightening it.

Carpe Mortem 06-26-2014 12:55 PM

Yeah I'm with you girls, straight hair looks super smooth and sexy and stuff but it's sooo boring.

If I'm getting creative I'll do a few braids and wear it as it's natural wave along with them. Simple, yet a huge change from letting it be.

hate paper doll 06-26-2014 01:04 PM

To be honest I haven't had to style my hair in ages. I had a pixie cut for years, this is the longest it's been since like 2006.

Carpe Mortem 06-26-2014 01:27 PM

I usually just throw some coconut oil in it and let it do its thang.

Of course.... doin its thang sometimes means misbehaving terribly, then it's time to pull out the straightener or hair clip.

That sounds cute. I'm going to start doing French braids and see if that looks nice. I'm really lazy when it comes to my hair.

This is what I do. And sometimes Vanilla's platting, as well. We should have a rock & roll hairdo thread!

An amphibian.

Small children don't get beaten to death with a broom in broad day light. That's called murder!

Pretty busy day at work. Commute was ****ing hell because of gay pride. Fun seeing people all dressed up and happy though. On the way home I had to deal with some rude drunk straight teenage boys who were obviously there just to peep on girls in their party outfits. They left me alone when I told them about the time I chanced down a heroin dealer with a broken bottle of Jameson. Why the **** would you go to gay pride to try and pickup girls? *shakes head*. ****ing people sometimes.

Gonna go see Summer Vacation and Hard Girls tonight. It's been a while since I've been to a good show, SV always deliver. Should be fun =).

Scarlett O'Hara 06-28-2014 10:56 PM

I applied for a job today. My dad helped me perfect my cover letter. He's the man.

I'm so tired so probably will go to be early.

Show didn't go over as well as it could have. The host of the show said that they would have a drum kit there for us to play, but when we got there we find that the drummer who owns the kit is one of those anal retentive types who doesn't let others touch his kit. This was probably out of being outshined because he was pretty awful. We politely told him to go **** himself when he offered to play with us instead.

So we ended up doing guitar drones, still played pretty well. The audience looked a bit terrified, so it was successful on some level.

GuD 06-29-2014 07:51 PM

Ah.

Another busy ass day. I got off an hour later than scheduled. Boss had to leave early because his pregnant wife had an appointment so I was basically swarmed by myself all day at the shop. Turns out she went without him. Customers were all super flirty and happy though so that made up for it. I actually ran into a couple that came in on the way home and was like...

-Yo, didn't I just make you lunch like 2 hours ago?

and they're all

-Yeah!!! That was fantastic!

That felt pretty good. I like knowing that I made someone happy with my food, even if it's just sandwiches and other basic ass ****.

I also picked up some CDs. Spent more than I should have and only found one that I was really looking for but the others should be pretty great too. **** it, I worked pretty damn hard this month. I deserve it.

Missed most of Gay Pride festivities but if it's anything like last year's it's gonna be going on all night. So... I'm about to head off and check it out. Don't even have anyone to go with but **** it, public drunkenness, fun party outfits, all that stuff. Should be pretty rad. Prolly meet some cool peeps on the way and just hang with a bunch of strangers as per us'.

I'm going to pour out my heart to you here about the last weeks. My summer holidays don't feel like vacation at the moment.
I've worked the second Saturday, 13 hours at the supermarket and it's exhausting but I hope I'll manage to keep it the next months.
The main issue is that bugs me is that on Sunday I'm not able to study as much as usual. So the weekend is not here for studying anymore...
Other than that I've made a schedule for music theory but I'm lacking the feeling of being prepared for the exams.

Today my grandmother and aunt came to visit and took my sister to their place.
Technically I could assume that things go better and more calm from now on.

The positive news: I got my Küng alto recorder made out of plum wood and the sound is so marvelous.
It's the heaviest out of all my altos but it sounds very solid, high Swiss quality as I expected.

There's been a prop plane buzzing around the office all morning long, apparently practicing for the Air & Water show coming up in Aug. At first it was kinda cool watching him loop and come dangerously close to stuff, but dude... I got work to do and you sir, are getting annoying. I hope you run out of fuel soon.

Paul Smeenus 06-30-2014 11:00 AM

Do you have any type of firearms at the office? Shoot that sucker down. Totally justified.

So, I was in class today and for the first time in my life I was happy I deactivated my Facebook account. Because being that is a criminal justice major I am devoting my time to right now, our professor likes (former Fed, and Dr.) to run back ground checks, through the government on all his students. So that he isn't educating felons on how to become, well better felons. But he also likes to look at your Facebook and then paraphrase your thoughts back at you. It's deactivated, but not gone. Go on and get you a warrant homie. ;) Ain't got **** to hide, just tired of the same old nonsense in my news feed. Best of luck to the rest of my class. Yikes!

The Batlord 06-30-2014 12:27 PM

I officially have no desire to ever use Facebook. Before it was just indifference, but now it is active dislike. I friended some girl I used to know in middle school and now I have people I don't know and have no desire to know all over my Facebook page. **** these people. I'm done.

Good for you man! I've been facebook-free about seven months now and my quality of life has improved drastically.

Of course, I quit because I'm a status addict and started to feel foolish when people didn't 'like' them.

I've signed onto my Facebook account about once a year for three or four years, so I wasn't even at all into it. I just saw some guy non-ironically wearing a cowboy hat and was like, "Who the **** are you and how in God's name am I now even vaguely associated with you?"

Pretty much spent all day doing chores, listening to music and being on the computer. Got out for a little bit her and there with the dog but nothin else. My flatmate got this extremely fragrant shampoo or bodywash or something and it reeks something fierce. Like, nostril hairs on fire fierce. S'bad news.

The Batlord 06-30-2014 09:19 PM

Took apart, cleaned and reassembled my XBox. Everything went smoothly, but of course it didn't fix the issue. I think I'm gonna need to either figure out how to **** with the disc drive or get a new console (without hard drive.)

RoxyRollah 07-01-2014 04:52 AM

man sat in school parking lot with a hockey mask on yesterday. He was there for three hours!
Must have been a tough crossword. He was arrested and charged with what,we dont know. Inproper attire on campus?
