Punk we survived. It was disco and the lack of people dancing that stopped us getting booked into the good clubs.

That and:

- more girls came to dance, which meant guys came to score
- lotta dancing = lotta sweating = lotta drinking
- in the beginning DJs simply undercut the bands

win, win, win for the club owners.

I've watched them try numerous times from the stage.
The roadies would have to go out and move everyone
away from the flash-pots before they'd go off.

Just once it would have been cool to watch the combination
of polyester and spandex take on the final 'BASH' of Rush's
2112-Grand Finale.
