I ran all through winter just fine. Just put dubs in my shoes and wore thermal gear with reflection tape. I buy seasonal running clothing so that I never have an excuse.

And I ran hardly anything backwards. But I'll just keep practicing

That's pretty impressive! My biggest issue with running in the cold wouldn't be so much being cold as breathing cold air. It makes me have horrible coughing fits.

Every single person I know (from USA) that has been prescribed something has always dealt with a bad prescription. With me when I was I kid they were quick to misdiagnose me with ADHD and prescribe me medication for that. My friend's Grandma was accidentally prescribed the wrong medication and it destroyed one of her organs which drastically shortened her life. I have a strong distrust for medication and I'm not sure if this problem is exclusive to the US. If it gets overwhelming I'd definitely suggest talking to a counselor as soon as you have the chance, though.

Lucem, you're right, it's silly to talk about what I would or wouldn't do IRL. Glad you brought it up. Maybe you should write an instrumental about it. I recommend a piano paired with a clarinet. With ambient sounds of you hanging from your shower curtain you ****ing failure.

Imo it's worth saving up and spending the $150+ for an hour long session with a good psychiatrist. Prepare yourself before the session and communicate your hesitations and bad experiences with past prescriptions. Try to figure out what you want from your meds. A good psych will want you to find the right medication, and if you don't feel that find a different psychiatrist. It sucks that it's so oppresively expensive but it's worth it, and you'll probably only have to see them a few times a year just to check in about what is or isn't working for you. Of course it's always a bit of a gamble to introduce your body to a new med, I've had bad experiences but nothing with lasting damage. It's just important to trust your body and if something doesn't feel right don't do what I did and hate yourself for not being good enough for a particular med and understand that there is a shopping-around process. I am pro med because it worked for me, but YMMV.

I have a few friends that have astma/problems with cold air and running. And then you definitly have a reason not to run. I never have had that. So, I don't have a reason not to.
