So you're Beavis and Butthead if one was a girl and they ****ed. Ahhh, that's sweet. I'm happy for ya.

Sounds ****ing awesome, good for you!

I think the key for us personally has been living our own independent lives. We take care of ourselves financially and emotionally, so the relationship is a want, not a need.

I don't understand how people can have their lives so intertwined and not feel suffocated. I don't even know how people sleep in the same bed together every night. Any relationship I was in would have to be pretty hands off a lot of the time. I just have no desire to basically have someone staring me in the face all day every day.

Unless it was Joey de Maio or Kerry King.

It's awesome in the beginning when you are young and ****ing basically 24/7. At that point it's all about the carnal emotions and the act of really falling in love with another person. Going to sleep in each other's arms and waking up together is actually really great.

Linda and I stopped "sleeping" together about 27 years ago when we moved into an apartment big enough that we could each have our own space. I snore like a chainsaw and she's a super light sleeper so it was a win/win situation. A shared bed is there when needed, but as far as sleeping goes, give me my space! ;)

Maybe because I'm like old before my time but I constantly wake up a lot during the night and my light snoring bothers my gf so much that we sleep in separate beds too.

It's fine to be in the same bed for sex and a little cuddling afterwards but then she will get up and leave to her bed.

I was only 29 when we first started sleeping seperately. :finger:

Just separate beds or separate rooms too?
