You hate a band that you aren't even familair with? So that's how it works. I wasn't understanding the rules.

My hatred is fueled by multiple attempts and at least two full length listens (except for Seconds Out) of Acbabdaabdab, Lamb Lies Down on Broadway, Foxtrot, Seconds Out, and Selling England By the Pound.

That's another good one. Basically translates to, "I have no confidence in my own musical taste so I get defensive when somebody says anything negative about a band I like."

Yeah but your average musician wants to make money and pay the bills. Private helicopters, sexy chicks and mansions are all nice too. What I'm saying is that, while there are surely some people who play for the pure enjoyment and never want to make a career out of their music, the chances of finding a lot of likeminded people are remote. Can you imagine the ad:

(Let's assume elph is a guitarist, I don't know: substitute as required)
Guitarist seeks band. Must under no circumstances wish to earn money, gain fame or ever have a hit record. Band names will not be entertained. Apply etc...

Was it not Shakespeare who said "None but a blockhead writes but to earn money" or something like that?

Check out this band that is trailblazing in the modern day while you guys 30+ years older than me circle jerk to neoprog.

serious? Do you really think anyone here subscribes to that philosophy? If you do then you're clearly just butthurt that people don't like boring ass Genesis as much as you do.
In my defence, I have never bored up anyone's ass, least of all the members of Genesis.

How is it you can say this but if I say it about your music I'm being close-minded, or don't get it, or whatever other excuse you want to use to tell me I can't say your music is awful and assaults my ears?

Or in your case, the reverse.

This thread isn't stupid things that fake musicians say. Having met hordes of non-career minded musicians, I can firmly say that it is not remote or even difficult to find someone to make music with who actually only cares about the music. Unsurprisingly, some of the world's best music was made by those types of people.

Well it being an assault isn't exactly wrong for some albums, but here are a few things.

I'm a musician
I listen to prog, regularly
I'm simply better than you
You are closeminded in many more ways than not accepting my music as the greatest
