I only enjoyed the story parts on wrestling if I am completely honest. Be that in the ring or, more importantly, outside of it. Two people flipping around with great skill for no apparent reason bores me to tears.

It's basically live theater with [perceived] combat. If you ever have the opportunity to see it live, I would recommend that you do so. I've been to 3 live events. 2 WWE & 1 Indy.

Yeah it's great live, but I was invested in the storylines when I went to those shows. I can't imagine going to a show that I had no idea about just for the wrestling itself.
