John Dilleshaw

Georgia Yellow Hammers

Earl Johnson (creepy track)

Andrew and Jim Baxter (African-American father and son duet)

Andrew Baxter played fiddle on "G Rag" with the Yellow Hammers. It is thought that "G Rag" is one of the earliest integrated recordings of Georgia musicians.

That was a weird one. The lyrics kind of reminded me of "Ha Ha Ha" by Flipper.

I've heard the phrase "A ****** in the Woodpile" before. "On the Woodpile" sounds like a misspelling.

Good one on the Flipper comparison. My thought about “on” the woodpile is maybe it’s about burning a black person alive. That creepy ass laugh partially confirms.

I think maybe the “run” song is wishing him the best escaping slavery.

When I was a kid, in our white trash home, ****** was pretty much the ONLY term ever used to describe a black person.

Hey, I'm from the north and, sadly, the N-word is used quite a bit here too. We have a lot of Archie Bunker types in Baltimore.

Yep, I was a mile from Camden Yards before we had to move (now we're on the outskirts but it's a nice house)
