Baroness, from Savannah, are kind of like Mastodon to me, I heard good stuff about them, I tried to like them, but their music never hit the sweet spot.

I still have a bit of nostalgia for Baroness' first album but they definitely fit in the Mastodon category of blandness.

Kind of in the same family of bands

Mondo loves them

People with good taste often sing their praises and they have a big spot in the stoner rock library -

I don’t know if someone else wants to come to their defense - although I respect them more than Mastadon and Baroness truthfully they never really got my balls tingling either

Future is going to be the final artist from the state of Georgia I’m going to talk about. Even though Future has gotten some serious love from the critics and has been lavished with attention by fans I feel like he’s profoundly underrated. He’s the (should be) undisputed heavyweight champion of the only important wave of hip hop that offers a vanguard since RZA. He is the nexus of the movement. Trap mumble rap whatever generation of sound cloud rappers. Future is the guiding light North Star the sun. It all orbits around him. Weird spacey drug induced hypnotic lean Xanax ambien weed autocorrect raps and chants. DS2 Dirty Sprite 2. **** Up Some Commas.

KENTUCKY

Kentucky has a very rich cultural heritage, a wishy-washy southern history, and currently if it were alive, a real living sentient being, it would wash down a bottle of pain pills with a much bigger bottle of bourbon and wait to die - only to wake up hours later drawers full of feces and urine and a spirit full of despair - forced to carry on. No one stays in Kentucky. Like the one and done Wildcats those who can move out and move on do. What’s left is **** towns of dilapidated nothingness. Meth and Percocet - rotten teeth, blown out veins, all sorts of infections, motherless children, white trash crime waves, horrible public schools, and people with no chance of upward mobility ever. And mountains. Mountains ripped to shreds by strip mining and mountaintop removal.

And I live in Minnesota, so even that part is true. Damn, OH, you nailed it.

At least we have good music, I guess.
