Most of those stories come from major cities. Florida just attracts all the nation's undesirables. As well as the undesirables from several other nearby countries.

I believe that Florida is the most ****ed up state at its horrifying worst but it has a lot of sophistication to balance that out. Plus, its derangement isn’t a backwoods forgotten despair that defines the south. Florida isn’t really ****ed in a southern way that plays into this thread’s narrative like Kentucky and WV.

Wanna know the most ****ed up aspect to Florida?

1) they pay bare minimum yet the cost of living is closer to an East coast state up north.

2) there's no shared culture or identity. Everyone is from somewhere else. Nobody gives a **** about the state.

3) most of the prime real estate will be under water soon

4) Haitians

That’s actually a plus. Loved watching Mexico Beach get hurricane nuked last year.

After that earthquake they let in so many that some schools went from no Haitians to mostly Haitians in one year. That’s not in my area though. I don’t know first hand but I never met anybody who dealt with them a lot who liked them.

The Haitians part was a joke. A good amount of my friends were Haitian. But generally a lot of people down there hate them.

America seems to care more about Haiti than PR.

Maybe in terms of politics. Not in terms of who they want living in their neighborhood.

It being a US territory full of US citizens who a lot of Americans don't want to recognize as citizens might work against them tbh.
