Why are you in a biology class if you're going to became a machinist?

Lucem Ferre 06-10-2019 06:46 PM

Straight pride people seem to think that gay people lose the ability to procreate.

Frownland 06-10-2019 06:51 PM

Straight pride is stupid as ****. Pride on the rocks or gtfo.

I got "I'm proud of the fact that I have a magical penis that can give life."

and

"Gay people need straight people to make more gay people."

Frownland 06-10-2019 07:00 PM

I once found my mom's magical penis in a drawer when I was a kid.

Some would say that a 23 year old is already a grown up but everyone ages differently.

That’s cool. I feel a little bit if I had explained the why instead of just the how at the get-go I probably would have been more helpful.

Basically it boils down to pin pointing what you don’t know and transferring the information from short term to long term memory while not wasting time with the stuff you already know.

Also on the 45 minutes on 15 minutes off study pattern that 15 minutes off helps ensure the knowledge is in long term memory storage where it needs to be. If 25% down time seems too much read a text from another subject during the 15 off.

I also think you should try the three column note strategy instead of flash cards sometimes because it has the advantage of more time on what primary school teachers describe as “eyes on text”

If the questions aren’t going to be presented sequentially on the test make sure you can recall the information in isolation.

It may be a better use of your time to reread the information from the text instead of spending a lot of time studying your flash cards in sequential order. Just a thought. Cue some basketball player looking up at my post like he’s thinking it over lol

DwnWthVwls 07-02-2019 03:35 PM

If i wasted that much time studying id have hated college. Are you like my friend who handed in 20 pages when the teacher asked for 5?

But you don't know ... the guy could have written twice large, (or typed with fonts twice as large) and only used one side of the paper, and still did the same amount of work as the next guy with five pages of very tiny print on both sides of the paper. You just don't know. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Mussolini was fired from teaching for being unable to maintain discipline in his classroom. He also typically kept his appearance tidy but would go unshaven and leave his hair uncombed before speaking in public to appear more spontaneous and genuine.

Plankton 07-09-2019 08:34 AM

Punctuation. It's the difference between "Let's eat Grandma", and "Let's eat, Grandma".

DwnWthVwls 07-09-2019 12:22 PM

What punctuation do you use if youre telling grandma you want to eat her?

You use a knife. To puncture the skin, then slice thinly.

Yep

She’ll get the message for sure

Frownland 07-09-2019 03:16 PM

Gotta do it carefully though. If you use too much puncturation you'll end up killing her and ruin your regenerative food supply.

I usually learn better when I just pay attention without taking notes.

Yeah honestly I think I'd be spending all my attention on hearing and writing and wouldn't really realize what was being said.

Frownland 10-15-2019 02:59 PM

I believed in myself too much to take notes or study.

You're just mad because you spent all of that free time studying in the library while I was out developing substance abuse issues.

Marie Monday 10-15-2019 03:13 PM

Nah, I'm not mad, I meant that I relate to both your posts. But I got lazy when posting and now the meaning is confusing

The Batlord 10-15-2019 03:14 PM

Studying takes all the fun out of learning.

The Batlord 10-15-2019 03:51 PM

No it's just boring and lame. Smoke a cigarette instead.

Sometimes I wished I tried coke. Sounds like I would have been all about being a narcissistic bigmouth going on about what the **** ever without caring how much everyone around me was sick of hearing me talk.

If you were hooked on coke you would probably end up being a stock broker too busy for comic books and Heavy Metal.

This pretty much sums up your existence on Music Banter and you did it all without wasting any money on coke.

That’s pretty crazy that there are people who have never once snorted cocaine.
