The upsetting thing is, as soon as the vet told me Ritchie was blind, I right away thought I cant do this. I don't want to lose him, but I'm already looking after my sister full time, and we have two other cats, neither of which treated him with any sensitivity when they realised he couldn't see. They hissed at him, punched him etc. Really sad. But I knew I couldn't take on the extra responsibility, so when he fell I kind of used that as an excuse to say to Karen, look, he can't even see and this is going to keep happening. We have to make a decision.
I mean, it was all true, but I feel like a scumbag for kind of almost manipulating her into agreeing. :(
