Just feel comfortable with yourself. As long as you are happy, the world around you is happy.

I don't particularly like the guy, but he can act.

That was uncalled for. I was making a completely separate point that was not meant to be an interpretation of anything you said. Even if it was, you can't know that. LGBT people go through a lot, their resilience will vary just like anyone else's. People are different and their sexual orientation does not play much of a factor in how they handle abuse. But, yes, if LGBT people can survive what they go through, then they do come out all the better for it. But, it's a struggle.

Yeah, 'cause LGBT people are never pressured by people into following those norms and gender roles. And then **** on mercilessly when they refuse to.

But here's a question: How often do straight people face violence due to their orientation, or these cultural pressures? And I'm not talking about the occasional fist fight over a girl/guy that you like. I'm talking serious and constant hostility with intent to maim both physically and psychologically.

Have you ever been called a *** by your dad? Had **** thrown at you as you try to walk/bike anywhere? Get jumped so often that you have to learn how to kick ass just to not get curb stumped by homophobes?

For ****s sake, it's still legal for the parents of LGBT teenagers to send them to "scared straight" camps, where they're starved and basically tortured until they recant. Look it up, that ****'s terrifying.

Btw, unless you're still in high school, pretty much nobody gives a **** if you have female friends, and whether or not you're having sex with them. Once you become an adult, you pretty much just have to deal with the terrible pressure of the occasional phone call from your grandparents when they ask when they will finally get grandchildren to dote over. However, being LGBT makes you a target for life. I could post news stories about LGBT clubs being barred and set on fire, or LGBT people being forced into concentration camps in Nazi Germany, or a whole bunch of stories just this past month about people being targeted for their orientation, but tbh, you can do your own research. That is, if you actually care about the issue.

That is not what I am saying. All I mean is that everyone goes through stupid societal BS that really does not need to play a huge factor in their lives, but does anyway.

Not as often, but that doesn't mean it isn't there. The people who are confused for not being straight because they do not match the societal expectations to a T are treated the same as LGBT people. Straight people who are still not sure of their sexuality and identity cannot even think about seeing what they like because they will automatically become someone different to other straight people. I don't even really like straight people, I'm not even straight, but the second we start pretending like everyone doesn't have their own problems they are dealing with is the second we lose the ability to compromise with others. Straight people used to catch a beating for wanting a relationship with someone outside their race, sometimes race still plays a part in deciding who a straight person can date, and the threat of violence can come with that too.

I like to think that that word has evolved beyond strictly referring to gay people and has done so for years now at least. Straight people are definitely seen as more creepy, and can be subject to random assaults because they were in the vicinity of somebody who was uncomfortable with them being there. Obviously, the threat of violence against the LGBT community is far more prevalent, but that isn't the point I am making or standing against.

The real thing here is that we should not give in to a gay vs straight divide, no matter how much even I would like that. There will always be straight people, which means that we should not push them away by ignoring some of the things that they could be dealing with on a daily basis, especially straight girls (or even girls who aren't straight that are not "accepted" by straight guys and raped).

Again, not true. Everybody has different experiences. They literally made a film entitled The 40-Year old Virgin, and there are plenty of other films about straight guys and their obsession with sex. Literally every adult male interaction I have ever seen in some revolves around sex, talking about sex, thinking about sex, asking about sex, you name it. There is a wonderful documentary called The Mask You Live In that I highly recommend on this topic. I don't need to do my own research, you assuming otherwise is a problem uniquely your own. Even if people were ever attacked for being straight, not saying they are, but the news would never publish that because it isn't sensational it wouldn't be as noteworthy since straights are the majority. Not to mention it would cast straight people in a bad light. I care about every issue. I don't think you have taken enough time to appreciate who I am as a person to make such statements.

Long winded point later; all I am saying is not all straight people deserved to be vilified, and not all of them enjoy the treatment that they get from society. Which is not all it's cracked up to be either.

Yeah man stop hating straight people. That's something we can all get behind, just like ***s who get behind other ***s and have hardcore gay butt sex.

Don't hate the straight!
Oh and ALM, of course.

There was a cat at my friend's grandma's house (she had a lot of cats, it was inhumane, a lot of procreation) that was blind and I named him Ray Charles. He took care of himself real well. Awesome cat too. None of the other cats like him though. I remember one time we were changing the litter box and he jumps in the middle to take a big nasty **** as we did it. So that made him awesome because he was like one of the only cats to use a litter box. And he was blind at that. He also went blind because another cat named Al ripped his eyes out when he was a kitten. Cats are ruthless. I don't know what this has to do with being gay though.

I think the question in all our minds is: could he play the piano?

I'm sure he could if he had the chance. Just wouldn't be good at it.

So what you're saying is that he's a player.
