I have often wondered if I am gay, I don't want to have sex with men but at the same time, I'm also not out there trying to pick up women as most men do...

The fact that you don't try to pick up women doesn't have to be a sign that you're gay. The chasing after women is just part of traditional culture which some men are only part of because they feel like it's expected of them: maybe it's not your style, or maybe you're too shy. Or some people are asexual and don't have a sexual interest in either men or women.
In any case, you could be gay for all I know of course, but the only real indicator is who you're sexually attracted to or fall in love with. That can be a difficult question to answer though.
