Well yeah but I'm not rationalizing it. My work should not be open because we are not in fact essential, just a convenience that the populace isn't willing to let go of and the establishment probably gets kickbacks from to make sure we're called essential.

How much of this **** are we supposed to let slide? If they threaten you for insisting they wear a mask they win even they they’re increasing the likelihood of actually killing people. But if you threaten a person for not wearing a mask which is life-threatening negligence you will go to jail. |
India is up to 1400 counted deaths which is just slightly more than the state of Florida
Incredibly Florida is being touted as a success Infections and deaths aren’t even on a decline but since the beach is open I guess we won Never mind that the nursing homes and prisons have been ravished with new cases over the last couple weeks People are like how did we beat it compared to NY. As if it’s not obviously just a matter of time. They’ve had it longer. People’s ability to deny is just incredible. 100 dead at a single nursing home in NY but somehow that’s not waiting for us in Florida even though we’re still working our way up exponentially and opening up the economy. And NY itself. People just chilling at the park. Whatever dude. Sorry grandma. Wait until your blood clots you selfish ****s. This **** has so got a round two. |
Dana's cousin and his kids stopped by the house. We're down the shore at Dana's parents "beach" house. They were in the area. I didn't leave the deck and they didn't come inside. I could tell the kids thought that was weird. Dana went down by them but I wouldn't. I didn't feel comfortable. I told myself the other day that I can't stop people from doing what they do but I can make my own decisions about myself and that's what I'm doing. I don't care. There's an inherent risk that Dana took by going down to see them and I'm going to lump that into the inherent risk we all take whether it be going to the grocery store, pharmacy, going for a walk, or getting gas. Still, I'm standing my ground for now on these things. I feel weird doing it though.
Basically this post is an example of how hard simple decisions are to make without being an anti-lockdown protester or completely locked in non murderer OH. The inbetween is hard. |

Ffs why is trump still getting a goddamn platform
Bill Maher made a good joke: My grandmother told me never to take medical advice from a clown wearing orange face paint. |
Disturbing.

It’s been made clear that Covid is uniquely problematic for the already vulnerable many many times so to try to make the case that the death toll is exaggerated because of that holds very little water. It’s very clear that overall mortality rates have skyrocketed and in the United ****holes of America worse than anywhere else in the world. As usual.

Your apartment complex gives out health alerts?

Fair enough
I’m still guessing that it’s the second or third infection that really gets you. Either that or just less and more lethal strains going around. Maybe having had a less lethal strain provides temporary immunity until the more lethal strain hits. There’s no question that asymptomatic or nearly asymptomatic spread has been widespread. But why there’s so much death and criticals here and not there is hard to figure. The longer it’s been manifesting in your community the higher the likelihood of having gotten it twice if that’s how it works. Btw these stories are popping up all over Michigan man wipes nose on dollar store employee’s shirt after being told to wear mask I don’t know wtf is wrong with the people up in Michigan but that piece of trash needs to be killed. It’s not even fair to a normal prisoner to have to share a building with that murderous ****. He should just be taken out and shot right in the ****ing head. |

“Enormous evidence” my ass. There’s no more evidence for that than my pulled out of my ass theory about multiple infections. Pompeo has such a hard on for starting a war with China it’s unbelievable. As long as we’re just making **** up maybe America unleashed it near the lab in Wuhan to frame China. Maybe a Syrian terrorist did it to start trouble between the major powers. Maybe it was Louis Farrakhan. Or the Dalai Lama seeking revenge for Tibet. |

Just heard an ad on the radio that said if you can't find a face mask then use a bandana. Remember when they were telling us not to bother with face masks cause they don't work anyway?
On a semi related note, it seems like now would be a great time to rob a store. |

Masks mitigate spread but don't protect you from infection, which is what people were stocking up on them for during the beginning of the pandemic. This remains true.

Yeah but why is it a necessity to wear them now but not at the beginning?
I know more people have it now, but if we were wearing them all along maybe it would've spread less... |

They never said that N-95s don't protect the wearer.

And even if there was a shortage, now they are tell telling people a mask that is made from a bandana or sock is still better than nothing... |

“Seriously people- STOP BUYING MASKS! They are NOT effective in preventing general public from catching #Coronavirus, but if healthcare providers can’t get them to care for sick patients, it puts them and our communities at risk!” Sorry I’m not impressed by N-95 loophole. The bolded was a flat out lie. |
