You can see this sort of thing in the fact that men are taller than women in virtually every ethnic group. Is every culture in the world conditioning women to prefer taller men or is there an inherent preference to our species in this regard? I think the latter is clearly the case. Results don't lie.

You can say oh but why would a woman prefer a taller man? You can speculate reasons, truth is it doesn't matter what the reason is. We know that female birds of many species select male birds with a more colorful display of feathers. Why? If anything being colorful makes you an easy target for predators. Why is that an advantage? Doesn't matter why. That's what the female birds select and so that's what male birds look like.
