just finished Life and Limb by Jamie Andrew, an autobiographical account of how he lost his arms, legs and best friend in a mountain climbing incident

currently churning though Ring of Bright Water by Gavin Maxwell, another autiobiographical account of his life with Mijbil and Edal the otters on an island in the hebrides

just started Jacques the Fatalist by Diderot. So far it's quite entertaining.

Really? I don't think I have the patience required to read 18th century literature. But the only novel I've made a real attempt at is Tristram Shandy (on Thomas Jefferson's recommendation) - it just wasn't gonna happen.
