If you like stories like that, I highly recommend Aurora by Kim Stanley Robinson. I read that a few months ago and it one of favorite recent reads.

From what I can see online about it, avoiding any spoilers, this looks exactly like something I'd enjoy. Thanks!

IT by Stephen King

If you get a chance to read it, let me know what you think!

What is it with ISB? What, four books in as many days, or something? I mean, yes, I read (well, re-read) Nineteen Eighty-Four in three days, but normally it takes me a lot longer to get through books. I'm still on the Song of Ice and Fire series, with Dracula on the side and that "prequel" to the Titanic disaster Chula was talking about. Be some time before I can think of tackling anything else.

Oh, but for Karen, we're reading Oliver Twist, first time ever for me. ****ing amazing story.

Have you read Great Expectations? It's even better, imo.

Yes, I've read all three. David Copperfield is up there. But I do love A Tale of Two Cities, more than the rest.

TMS, I have never read any full Dickens work other than A Christmas Carol. We have the Complete Works now so I guess we'll be working through it. I tried to read ATO2C once and I have to admit, after several pages I could not understand a word and had no idea what was going on! :yikes:
