What's The Latest Film You Have Seen?

Favorite Tarantino films: Resevoir Dogs & Pulp Fiction... and I'm not sure if we're counting the whole Natural Born Killers thing, but that too if it counts, if anyone knows what I'm talking about. That whole dispute he had with Oliver Stone, etc...

But anyway... I just watched Backwoods on Fearnet (Free Movies on demand)... it wasn't bad, but I still don't get it. Why did they lock the girl up to begin with? And, I was suprised to see Gary Oldman in this, of all people and amongst a cast of otherwise little-knowns...

jackie brown's the only one i could watch without getting bored now, i can understand why QT gets that culture vulture accusation levelled at him, they're all too quotable and familiar. He's a bit like the Andy Warhol of cinema, and i hate andy warhol

Plus I payed top dollar to see Kill Bill vol.2 in the cinema and it was pants. I don't know. The man's workrate leaves alot to be desired, is it worth left-clicking the mouse a few times to see 'Death Proof' or will I just want to stick my head in the microwave and turn it on?

yeah i saw that... Having gone in with no idea what a 'grindhouse' was and little nostalgia for crummy exploitation flicks (except Coffy) it just didn't amuse me at all. It can't be just me that doesn't buy into this B-movie tribute stuff, it just seems a little half-arsed? Intellectually more than cinematically, if that makes sense. It looked great

Because the other end of the parody spectrum you've got 'Scary Movie' and the consequent factory-line of comedies that totally rely on the audience's awareness of cheap pop culture for laughs. How far the Zuckers have fallen since 'Airplane!'...

I thought Rodriguez's take on the genre was too by the numbers to make it memorable (I also don't share others' enthusiasm for trash). Death proof on the other hand is vintage Tarantino; original, witty, and beyond everything, cool, something Rodriguez sorely lacks in all his films. In short, I loved Death proof, but I love all Tarantino flicks.

Wanted is exactly what a comic book should be. Big dumb fun, a suspension of belief and maybe a little emotional gravitas. Who would'nt want to bend bullets and be a general bad ass?

the Jolie factor in this film is negligible, she's wasting away. she hasn't been hot since Pushing Tin, which was terrible anyway.

there are too many films with people dodging bullets in slow motion since the Matrix, it's boring. Couldn't they just play a game of snakes and ladders to resolve their differences?

I didn't like the movie in general.

I didn't think that the main character fit the part.

And I enjoyed seeing get beat up.

His dad was quite attractive.

But too young to be his dad.

There was just too much to make fun of.

Effects, choice of actors, cliches, etc.
