Dead Ringers is my favourite Cronenberg film, followed by The Fly.

Watched this documentary on the Norwegian black metal scene last night. Was a bit disappointed to be honest, it seemed to focus too much on the politics and controversies of the whole movement, such as the murders and church burnings, rather than the actual music itself. I was hoping for some nice insight into the music, and maybe some cool live footage, but ended up with all the stories and information I've heard before.

latest movie I've seen

Latest movie I've seen is called RED with Bruce Willis and Morgan Freeman. It's about a retired black-ops agent who's suddenly being chased by agent who try to assesinate him. Realising that he has become a target he reassembles his old team.

Funny - Action - Great fun!

I've heard about that, I always thought it was more music oriented which didn't really appeal to me. Varg is really interesting to me (in a uhoh kinda way), I may just watch that.

The interviews with Varg are probably the best thing about it. He's a very interesting and intelligent guy, even though some of his political beliefs I certainly don't agree with.

4 unlikeable characters shagging each other, changing their minds about who they really love/want, sharp tongued dialogue that doesn't have any charm or subtlety to it. I guess it was worth a watch, and it kept me pretty engaged but it was awfully forgettable and one I definitely wouldn't return to. 1.5/5

There are a couple of scenes in Closer that makes me want to re-watch it. Natalie Portman strip scenes and also the exchange between Julia and Clive talking about if the guy made her cum.

Talented and interesting. Shame he's a complete and utter f*ck up.

Two of the better scenes.

I also watched this the other day:

Like Before Sunrise, except nowhere near as interesting, beautiful, thought provoking, likeable or romanticised. Worth a watch if you're bored, but I feel pretty apathetic towards it. 1.5/5

Watched this for the second time recently and is a decent slice of British inner city life. A decent moral centre to the film helps greatly.

The follow on with many of the same characters six years on into their life and very impressed. I absolutely hate the faux ghetto talk that many young people appropriate (innit blood?) but both films are well realised and not mere youth movies trying to glamourise the culture.

Solid, gritty and independent British film making.
