Not Quite Hollywood
Interesting documentary about Australian exploitation cinema of the 70s and 80s. My only complaint is that some of the editing was so rapid-fire that it was hard to keep track of which movie was being talked about.

I had the same problem when I watched this but there was a ton of movies I would love to see and a few that I have seen that I already like.

I was really disappointed by this, especially since it is sitting at 97% on RT. The action scenes were mostly generic, and I think they flopped big time on the gringotts part. The ending also puzzled me.
Spoiler for hide:
Aren't they supposed to be celebrating after voldemort dies? I mean, Harry is walking around this crowded hall and he isn't even acknowledged. Shouldn't there be some cheering?

I haven't seen this film for nearly 20 years and it still is a fantastic curio.

Written and Directed by David Webb Peoples (12 Monkeys, The Unforgiven, Bladerunner- how's that for a trio of movies?) it is well worth seeking out if you like action movies with cerebral content.

Saw this a few days ago, what a trip. I really couldn't tell what the plot is at all, but this has some of the coolest looking imagery I've ever seen in movies. All I could tell was that most of it takes place in dreams and some guys trying to take over the world. I don't even care though, it was still fun as hell to watch. 9/10

Grrate movie.

One of the best examples of a great B/exploitation movie. Lot's of blood, guts, tits, awesomely cheesy dialogue and plenty of what the &*$% moment. 9/10

Also, if you have seen Hobo, you need to see Treevenge. It's a short film directed by the guy who directed Hobo about Christmas trees that take revenge against people. A great, over the top short film (16 minutes)

Or, you can watch the HD quality version on Vimeo. Treevenge

You'd think they'd throw a festival or something.

I just watched the Tourist, and I'm still wondering why I wasted my time. Disappointing from Johnny Depp, who usually picks very good movies IMO.

Yeah right, even ---spoilers--- when he's an adult, some 20 years later he should be recognized, he ****ing saved the world.

Harry Potter, at least the movies, walks some weird line between epic fantasy and teenage melodrama, which is probably meant to be charming, but in the films feels awkward and cheap.

Pretty terrible, but I expected as much and it was ok for what it was. 1/5

Brilliant atmosphere and setting. It was quite engaging and intriguing for the most part, I felt it fell in on itself a little towards the end but well worth a watch. 3/5

Very dull movie. Below average acting and dialogue, and very little focus on the actual music (although I guess the last one is my fault for not knowing that going in). 5/10
